As my first official creative position post-graduation, my opportunity with Seattle Chocolate was more than I could have ever asked for. From the get-go, I was given hands-on experience assisting their marketing team wherever needed. From researcher to graphic designer to hand model, every day was an opportunity to learn in a unique role: helping Seattle Chocolate with the launch of their new brand Maeve, set to go live in March of 2025.
While working on Maeve, I was a researcher first. Podcasts, influencer marketing platforms, video games, you get the jist. I looked into current or new marketing strategies and reported my findings + recommendations to our team.
As a designer, I was tasked with taking their existing graphics and applying them to different collateral, products, and the occasional deck. Seattle Chocolate hired the wonderful team over at Young Jerks to create all of the characters, graphics, and branding elements used in Maeve’s world. Taking elements from the Young Jerks’ work, I worked as a collagist, breaking down and repurposing previously completed projects into new brand materials.
Featured below is a compilation of some of my favorite projects I was able to complete while working on Maeve. Some of them are consumer-facing, and will be featured on products and in advertising campaigns, others were for internal purposes, and live on through this portfolio. They are all pieces of work that I am extremely proud of, and encapsulate my time with Seattle Chocolate. Without further ado, I present to you the small part I got to play in the launching of a very cool brand.
